Amigurumi......a labor of love.

Note to self: Do not start another teeny animal right after a long day at work. Oh, and find out HOW to pronounce that word.

See, his head ended up a bit small.... tension... it gets you every time.

A sample for the shop. Made from "Cutest Little Animals" using Vanna's Choice yarn in silver grey and taupe.

Crocheting on my couch

That's pretty much all I did this weekend. I think there is an indentation on the right side of my couch now. This is the culmination of my weekend of doing as little as possible.

Do you think a guy might like this? Made with Cotton Ease by Lion Brand. We carry it in the shop.
Hat and matching scarflette. Lion Suede by Lion Brand.

Hat and scarflette. Silk'n wool Blend by Moda-Dea, also carried at the shop.

The one below is for my youngest, at his request. I hope it fits all his hair.....
Last but not least. A crocheted top, size.......4! This is a pattern I first saw here. It is by Chez Plum. I really enjoyed putting this together. It only took about 5 hours to do. This is great because one of the reasons I don't crochet more clothing is that it takes too long and has too many peices. This is crocheted all together. I did it with the Cotton Ease because it is washable, though I don't think I would just throw this in the laundry. Jennifer, is a certain model available??

New Stitch

I am treating myself to a new stitch. It's not that I don't have enough stitches to choose from already but this one was just too cool not to learn. It's called the Catherine wheel. I found a couple of online tutorials but I have read it is in one of the big crochet books too. Sorry there aren't any links but I'm kind of busy crocheting. Hope you all have a happy New Year! We are staying in to protect Brinkley from the fireworks.

Something I did instead of doing other things

Jennifer gave me this pattern Tuesday and said, "I want this". Being the good friend I am, I put it off for a day. Then when there were hundreds of other things I should have been doing, I made it. Nothing like procrastination through creativity. I mean, I wasn't just sitting, I made a mushroom!! I used yarn I had and mine seems much larger than the example... oh well, it was fun. Hope she likes it. Wonder how many more she may want....
