It only took a million years

At least that's the way it felt. It did take me too long. Why is it I start with great intentions, I will finish this project before I start another, but it never works that way? Ever. I'm learning to live with it.
To help myself along, I decided to bind this on my machine. I don't mind doing it by hand but it would have taken forever and I was kinda over it. I like the way it turned out and may do all of my "everyday" quilts this way. This one is for me.

I used Basic Grey, Urban Couture for the top.
You know who and I had fun out in the snow. I seriously can't believe how deep it is and it's still coming down.
The back is purple Kona cotton with my left over fat quarters of Basic Grey.
Have a great day!

love it! IT looks huge! Is it for your bed? I also like your label. Would you mind sharing where you got them?

Sonia, Thanks! Yes, it's for my bed. My daughter and a friend got my labels for me. In fact my daughter made my logo for me. If you go to my side bar and look at Parrish Platz or Insanely Crafty you can email them for the info.... They may even comment here.... maybe.

It's so beautiful! The colors are so YOU! And it is a huge quilt so it's no wonder you have been making other things too. But now you are finished with your quilt...On to the next project with a clear conscience! Yay for you!

Okay, I LOVE the quilt, it turned out so pretty! love love it. Now, for the picture taking - they are the coolest ever. The snow is a perfect blackdrop and the second picture with the quilt around you -amazing! It would be perfect for an ad for the material. email that one to me, please!! I know, I'm strange, indulge me..
It was good to talk to you yesterday, sorry I had to leave so quickly... :(

OMG! Love it!!!!the quilt, the tag, the pictures!!!! I just finished doing the same thing with my quilt but no help from my hubby. Great minds think alike, he, he, he. He thought I was totally insane for wanting to do this. I had to show him that I am not the only crazy one in the shop... You look like a Winter snow queen rapped around your quilt :)

It turned out awesome! Sorry the quilting was frustrating, but it was worth it for that outcome! You did an excellent job with that binding, but it seems like it would be harder!

You look like you had fun! The quilt is gorgeous! I want to see that binding in person. I might have to try this method.

I just found a comment you left on the Moda Bakeshop website and decided to pop over to your blog to say hi! I sure miss Stuttgart -- and all the lovely snow you got this year!
