I got sick and lost my mojo

This will teach me to be gone for two weeks. Why didn't anyone inform me that blogger changed? Since it's free can I complain? So anyway, I was working on this jacket when I got sick. It's the same pattern I've been using, modified by removing the collar and adding a hood. Next time I will make the hood a bit fuller. I also went ahead and put an inner lining of batting because the quilters tweed I used for the outer coat is quite thin. I am not sure about the bulk that it added and I hope in time it will soften. I can tell you the added warmth was welcome on this walk.

My new hot chocolate cups. I love them.

Love the jackets you're making! How many is that now?? Sorry you got sick. However, if this is you being NOT productive, I can't feel TOO sorry for you. :)

What changed about blogger? I didn't notice anything?

It's beautiful! but you sure are making me feel guilty about having the lining and jacket sitting separately on the counter. I do love the hood it looks nice, cozy and warm

This is the product of you being sick? Okay what else have you got to make me feel totally inadequate?

Sick or not... the coat is really nice. Although, I must admit the hood would look really nice if it was fuller. I REALLY like it when you have it down it sort of has a cowl look to it. I can visualize the wider look of the hood because in the photo your hair nearly matches the color of the hood and when the hood is down it still sort of looks like you have this lovely wide hood on. (did you understand that at all?) ;0

Anyhow, hope you're feeling lot's better!

Why, you clever girl, you! And that while under the weather, too. The coat looks great--is the hood minky?

I hope you're feeling better!

LOVE IT! So cute! I need a better peek at the lining! I may need that fabric! Bigger hoods are good. If you do another one with the hoodie i think you should try doing the hoodies outside the same fabric as the coat and then just line the inside with the soft fabric... of course you may be totally tired of making these by now... but don't get too tired you still have to do mine! Brinkley is gorgeous! Squeeze him for me! Please send some of your fall weather this way! Oh and I like the cups I am glad you posted a picture because I meant to tell you to send one!

sorry to hear you were not feeling well! i wondered as much...the cold and flu season is not a respecter of person, or places.

The lining on this coat is awesome and the hood makes you look like a really cool Jedi...a sweet, kind Jedi...but a kick butt, take names later Jedi! LOL

Hang in there. Glad you're back!

Thanks for the feed back and well wishes. Mostly back on my feet. Sorry about the color. My moniter never looks the same as others and I overcompensate for the dark photos. Belive it or not this was at 3 in the afternoon and it was already getting dark. I've changed a couple and hopefully they better reflect the color of the jacket, non matchey hood and all....
