Fabric Yummy-ness

This arrived in the mail yesterday. I wanted to blog it last night but we had a situation. We changed our internet and phone service. Because my foreign language skills are, well, none exsitant, I didn't realize it was to happen yesterday. We we unprepared. It took up a little too much time, until a little too late in the evening, after a little too hectic of a day for me to think of blogging. So anyway, enough about me. I have wanted this fabric for a long time. Through no fault of my own I had to mail order it instead of buying it from the shop. I found a nice reliable source in The Door Mouse. Their service was wonderfully prompt. I might actually be able to make this dress for the Arts and Crafts contest! Now I only have to decide which one.........

oh that's a tough one! I like real sleeves on things. I can't tell if the red hat one has sleeves that aren't really sleeves or what. Sometimes those can be very unflattering as they cut your arm in a funny way-like the wrong length skirt can. Hmmm.. but this style (the red hat one) might be better out of this fabric...hmm what to do what to do??

What do I want to do?? Have you all help me decide which is the best one of course! The red hat dress sleeves are cut deeper under the arm and just kinda cap over the top.

I like the red hat dress the best. It's very modern and chic. The other dress is cute to, just not as cute as the red hat dress.

I like the red hat one BUT like Jenny I am really worried about the sleeves those can look funky sometimes....

So between everyone at work and here in blog land, it will be the red hat dress. We will then call it Corinnea's awesome green dress. I will hope that the sleeves work!

I LOVE all the dresses, but then these styles work best with my frame. Anyhow... I cannot believe that you will not be able to to alter (if need be) the sleeve portion of the red hat dress. Seriously! I've seen you do way harder adjustments in the past. This one... piece of cake! And you are going to look sooooo smashing in your new dress! You will take pic's, right?!?!?!
=-)

Love the fabric and am wishing I still had some of my dresses from high school, yes, we wore dresses, no pants allowed......love the red hat one too. I had a dress very similar to the other one and the way the sleeves fit lower on the shoulders allowed them to slip down. Maybe this one wouldn't and it does look really pretty made. The fabric is perfect. Can't wait to see....

When i first saw your picture i thought that you had stolen the bag you gave me from quilt market out of the fabric! It was a bit of a freak out moment until i realized that my bag was safe at home with me! I really like the red hat one too for the fabric!

well, i was gonna vote for the one with the more defined sleeve, but do think that the skirt on the red one is more of the moment while still being retro, thought about this the whole time i was at work reboxing shoes!!!

Oh good... so we're going green again? I don't have to buy a new dress then. Whew! I like the poofy skirts of the other one, but I'm sure either is going to be beautiful. I thought that was the fabric in Katelyn's bag! Can't wait to see it finished!
