I got a little crafty

I made this for a young friend of my Mom's. She'd gotten a gift for this tyke and since it was small loose pieces, I decided the pieces needed a bag. I love my fabric stash. It is not nearly big enough (you know who does not know what he's talking about) but Mom found something she liked and off I went. I made it the same way I make my small zippered bags only added the canvas handles. I put one of my tags on the outside this time. My design with my tag, thanks Jess and Jen, how fun is that? You know who said, "I like the tag on the outside". (So maybe sometimes he knows what he's talking about.)

Two perfect weekends

Haven't done any crafting, but we are having fun. This is on the Bodensee. We were taking the ferry from Mainau back to Meersburg. It was almost 9 in the evening and still about 75 degrees. Perfect.

The Dress

I'd posted this fabric and my possible choices for patterns. My goal was to finish it in time for our annual Arts and Crafts contest. I just narrowly reached that goal. I've been a bit busy. I am sorry this is not a full length shot. After Mom and I got home last night we made Tim take a picture. Mom looks great! Brinkley thinks so too. I have got to say that I love this dress.

Happy mother's day and Collin's first show

In case you're wondering, I had a really nice mother's day. You know who asked me who would really be interested in that fact. When I think about it, I'm not sure. I guess I just wanted to say that I am thankful for being able to spend it with my mom and my boys. For those of you I didn't get to spend the day with, my daughter, my mom in law, my sis and niece, and a few others, I missed you! Wish you were here.

Here is something to make a mom proud. Collin has four pieces in the German American Daz art show. There were offers made for two of his paintings. In spite of being caught in two lightening storms and one hail storm, it was a great evening out! Congrats Collin!!!

Long overdue

As far as I can figure, we drove over 1500 miles. It was a great trip. My pictures do not do it justice. We had every kind of weather except snow and perfect. Don't worry I won't bore you with to many. This first picture should have been last. It's mom in Lucerne Switzerland. This is a gorgeous city. Only about 4 hours away. You should go. Scenes from Rocca d'Orcia.

Very, very good restaurant.

The town square. For generations at 12 am on Mayday the entire town gathers in this square to sing and play music. I wish they'd told us. When the sounds woke me at midnight I just wasn't up to checking it out. The singing was beautiful.
